Frozen Pipes Causing Water Damage in your Henderson Home

The winter season is here. The snow may not have fallen but the freezing temperatures have begun in Henderson. When winter hits your home, remember to warm up your pipes this winter. There are a few tips to keep your pipes warm and your home winter safe, and we have them for you below:
1. Check the sprinkler and irrigation system and make sure everything is turned off.
2. Identify your home's freezing points. Check for areas such as crawl spaces, unheated rooms, basements, garages, and exterior walls that would be more prone to freezing.
3. Locate your shut-off valve and make sure to mark it in some way so you can find it easily.
4. Protect your pipes: when pipes are exposed make sure to wrap them with insulation or heat tape or other materials that can keep something insulated.
